My girls are seven and four. I taught my oldest how to ride last summer but she was always afraid of crashing.
This summer, however, she has really taken to the bike and wants to ride all the time.
So, we take rides around town and sometimes she'll ride behind my wife who is training for a marathon.
My four year old has a bike with training wheels, but she doesn't seem too enthusiastic about it right now.
Hopefully, next summer we'll have the entire clan out on the road with their bikes.
I like the idea of challenging the kids to ride x number of miles per summer, so I think I'll buy computers for their bikes next spring and make a game out of it.
