Back on January 4th I started the blog series about My Old House with the above picture. In the photo, taken from the front window of the house I live in now, you can see the house I lived in from the age of four to eight (1975 to 1979.)During the blog series I have reminisced as well as posted a number of pictures of items that I still have from the house I lived in 30 years ago.
One thing I wish I still had from my old house is my orange Schwinn Pixie bike. I loved that bike and wish I still had it so I could pass it down to my son. I have looked for an identical bike on eBay, but haven't had any luck.
I do at least have this picture of me riding the Schwinn Pixie. But what is even cooler about this picture is that in the background is the house that I live in today. At the time the picture was taken, I had no idea it would be the house that my wife and I would raise our family in, but right there it is in the picture with me. It's my house, my future house, my house and my old house all mixed up in one picture.

I hope for Landen's sake, if you found a Pixie, you'd at least leave the basket off... ;^)
I'm just thankful that you came home to raise your kids. Other than the cold winters, Nappanee is a great place to live and build memories.

Rob, I was shocked when I took a look at this photo and saw that yellow and white basket attached to my Schwinn. It's funny how I don't ever remember the bike having a basket on it. Hopefully, I wizened up and removed it within days of this photo being taken. Anyway, thanks for the advice. NO WAY Landen ever gets a basket on his bike!
