My Top 10 Favorite Movies of All Time
This was harder than I thought it would be. I have this rather odd list (which will be blogged about someday) that I thought would make this easy. It was tough to narrow it down though. After I had it narrowed down to ten, it was also difficult to rank them. I like all of these movies very well, but for different reasons. That made it tough to rank them. The only easy one was movie number #1. I knew it would be there. This is not a list of the ten movies that I think are the "best." I think that list would look quite a bit different. This is simply a list of my favorites. And some of them I have not seen in quite a while, so I am going by how well I remember liking them. 10. Lucas
9. E.T.
8. Can't Buy Me Love
7. The Notebook
6. Fargo
5. Stand By Me
4. Lassie (2006)
3. Back to the Future
2. Sixteen Candles
1. Shawshank Redemption

I liked all these movies, except Cant Buy Me Love. Stand By Me makes my top 3 list almost everytime.
Loved the list, but I actually havent seen many of them. ET would definitely be on my list too... Do you still have THE movie list from high school?? I wish I still had mine - that was funny! I bet there were a lot of movies on that list that I couldnt even remember now!!
What? No Godfather movies?
Rocki - Wasn't Can't Buy Me Love even set in Phoenix? I'm surprised you didn't like it, especially if you like Lucas, which is a similar movie.
Tara - The "odd list" I referred to is THE list. I will blog about it sometime. It's digital now. If you haven't seen Lassie, you should watch it with your kids. It's really good.
Shelley - I spent quite a bit of last fall trying to watch the first Godfather movie, but just could not stay awake. I finally gave up and deleted it from the Tivo.
Playing the old Sesame Street game ("One of these kids is not like the other . . ."), Fargo sticks out like a sore thumb.
It's probably my favorite on the list, but it's quite different from the others.
Jamie - I played that game with a preschooler today, except it was in a standardized test format. Let's just say she needs to watch more Sesame Street.
