very interesting. we have a lot of the same faves in common. I am curious as to why you chose Hacienda over LaFagota....is it the chips or the food??

Comparing La Fogata and Hacienda:

I would say I chose Hacienda first because of the chips, food and atmosphere. Hacienda is downright noisy, which makes it the perfect place to take our two year old. Hacienda is also nicely decorated, cheap, has great chips and salsa, serves a great bean burrito (my favorite) and can a person have too many Frisbees?

La Fogata definitely wins on quality of ingredients. The items they use in their burrito loco and fajitas are impeccable - just absolutely outstanding quality. I do not care for their style of ground beef or refried beans though. And since bean burritos are my favorite I have to go with Hacienda in that respect. I do like the salsa at La Fogata (when I mix some of their hot salsa in with the regular salsa.) While Hacienda generally has fine service, La Fogata's is outstanding. They are just about perfect - friendly, fast, attentive, but not obtrusive. The staff at La Fogata is simply fantastic!

i would probably agree and have Hacienda top LaFagota on my list...but it would be close. I just love Haciendas chips, salsa and ranch, which is the main reason. I like LaFagota's food much better though. And you are right - LaFagota's service is great. We ate there after church today and got done so fast we had too much time to kill before our next activity! Thanks for the response.
