MSNBC.com had a booth at the Elkhart County Fair last week. During the week they took pictures of fair goers and asked them questions about the economy. The picture slide shows are on MSNBC's website, here.
Man, I HATE it when kids make those fake gang signs in pictures. I will NOT let my students or my own kids do that. Sorry - nothing really to do with your post - just a pet peeve set off by one of the kids in that photo.

I don't think I even knew there was such a thing as a "gang sign," let alone a fake one. But, now that I know that, I agree, they should not do it.
I say "fake" because I doubt that kid is a gangbanger. And I don't think the kids in my class who try to do it are either - at least not yet.
Sigh, a high school kid in the suburbs got shot and killed a couple years ago for "throwing a gang sign." He was not in a gang.
